Toshiba Launches New Range of Digital Featurephones

Toshiba Business Communications Division (BCD) today announced the launch of a new range of digital handsets, the Strata DP5000 series. The new handsets build on the reliability and ease of use of the Strata CIX family, offering users increased functionality to support fast, responsive and flexible business communications.

Available now, the DP5000 series includes a number of new sophisticated features which suit small business environments through to complex call centre environments. For example, red / green Busy Lamp Field (BLF) shows who is on the phone or available; ‘silent intrude’ capacity enables contact centre supervisors to monitor calls without background noise being picked up; and on-screen directory dialling on LCD featurephones reduces the need to search for numbers.

“For all types of business, it’s vital that customer calls are dealt with and responded to as quickly and efficiently as possible. Our new range of featurephones offer a range of sophisticated features to help achieve this, allowing businesses to ultimately drive productivity,” said Tim Webb, general manager at Toshiba BCD. “The DP5000 series compliments Toshiba’s existing range of handsets, building on the Strata traditions of flexibility and reliability.”

The Strata DP5000 series ranges from a low-cost entry level option, through to a sophisticated large display featurephone and is available now with an entry level typical purchase price of £57. In addition, the new IP5000 series and a DP5130F-FSDL with full-duplex capabilities will follow in the coming months.
