Ty Gardner Returns to Channel with Comms Solve Technologies

After much speculation we can reveal that former Universal Group Marketing Director Ty Gardner has, as promised, returned to the Channel as Managing Director of Comms Solve Technologies Limited. The company has been set up with his old friend and principle of Comms Solve, Cliff Smith.

Smith established Comms Solve in 2001 with a view of creating a unique model for our industry - a business that could deploy high end quality solutions to valued clients by outsourcing key elements of each service utilising carefully chosen partners whilst continuing to carefully oversee and manage all projects.

This has successfully been achieved over the last few years and Comms Solve has regularly hit targets, doubling turnover and profitability year upon year. In 2006 the company won the prestigious Comms Channel Award for Reseller of the Year and the following year surpassed the £2million turnover benchmark. This year Comms Solve are on target to post sales in the region of £3million.

The steady growth of Comms Solve has allowed the business to grow organically as opposed to utilising outside funding.

Gardner will head up the new Technologies business which will target corporate, multi-national and global clients - an area he says is earmarked for rapid growth for the new company.

Strategic partnerships are already in place with key suppliers within the industry in order to guarantee first class supply, service and support to customers nationwide and internationally.

Ty Gardner has an enviable track record in the industry stretching back some 23 years.

Commenting on the formation of the new company and the challenges that lay ahead Gardner said, “After leaving Universal I spoke to several people and decided that the model that Cliff Smith had built at Comms Solve fitted with my view of the future of the Voice and Data channel. Working with strategic partners I felt was absolutely the best way forward. I am really looking forward to working with the team at Comms Solve and we will move the business into the mid/high end enterprise market with the partners we have.”

Cliff Smith was equally ebullient about the move stating, “After spending the last few years establishing the business it is really great to have someone like Ty who has the same thoughts and vision join me to take advantage of our opportunities and take the business to the next level.

We have worked closely with our partners and established great working relationships which in the marketplace will be very hard to beat.

Like Ty I am also looking forward toward opening this chapter in the Comms Solve book and believe that this chapter will be one of my best ever!”
