Union Street authorised for release 1500 of WLR3

Union Street Technologies, the supplier of billing and WLR3 solutions for communication providers (CPs), has become one of the first system integrators to launch software that uses the new features of release 1500 of BT Openreach’s Equivalence Management Platform (EMP) for WLR3 access. The new 1500 EMP release has some significant benefits that Union Street customers can now take advantage of, such as amending features and directory entries of in-flight orders.

For Union Street, Steve Cresswell, Technical Director, comments “Our authorisation for release 1500 is ahead of most competitors. We have put in place a programme to upgrade all Union Street’s existing CPs which is a significant logistical challenge but part of our service commitment to our customer base. Release 1500 has some significant advantages and we intend that Union Street customers will be ahead of the curve for WLR3 deployment, so we have invested in considerable staff resources to ensure that they do.”
