Uniworld Communications has announced the appointment of David Thorn as Head of Channel in its sales organisation.
Thorn has close to twenty years experience of the telecoms industry, where he has developed and managed channel sales for several major blue chip brands including NTL, Cable & Wireless and Mercury Communications. David has spent the last three years at Redstone, where he was Indirect Sales Director, managing all of the company’s telecoms dealer and reseller activity.
Previously, Thorn was head of third party sales for OneTel, then part of the Centrica Group, where he developed and grew a base of dealer accounts and major multiple electrical retail accounts.
Thorn will play a pivotal role in assessing the needs of the existing channel, developing propositions for both new and existing channel partners and ensuring that Uniworld continues to have a compelling service and commercial proposition within the channel. Additionally he will provide the management focus required to ensure that aggressive sales growth targets via the channel continue to be achieved.
