Uniworld Channel Partner Conference is Motoring for 2008

The Uniworld Channel Partner conference 2008 took place in July and was well attended by more than 120 Channel Partners within the telecoms industry.

The event, which took place at the Heritage Motor Centre in Warwickshire, enabled the channel to hear about how Uniworld is continuing to grow and support the channel with sales, marketing, products and initiatives to drive customer acquisition.

During the event the major UK reseller launched a new incentive scheme for Channel Partners and announced fantastic new rates and commissions for local/national and mobile calls. The scheme offers Channel Partners 100% cash back for new business brought to Uniworld by the end of 2008 and 125% cash back for new business by the 31st of August. Covering a range of products, services and tariffs the scheme is in addition the usual ongoing commission of the Channel Partner.

Michael J Thornton, Sales & Marketing Director of Uniworld said “We’re delighted to have launched our new incentive scheme which provides our Channel Partners with huge earning potential and will remind the channel in an exciting way about how focussed we are on working in a true partnership.”

During the event Uniworld showcased a straightforward range of new tariffs and bundles for its Uniworld Gamma Mobile service, its broad and UK-wide data offering and a range of new services including ADSL2+, WebControl (easy-to-use Web security using SAAS), audio and video conferencing.

Colin Mann, Marketing Manager, said, “Our ability to provide both voice and data is vital and also provides a platform for us to offer solutions such as video conferencing and data back-up. These services open opportunities for our Channel Partners to generate revenue and build long-term relationships with end users.”

Another key message concerned the delivery of lead generation services and direct marketing campaigns for Channel Partners.

Colin added “We’ve made significant strides in developing an in-house lead generation process to support our Channel Partners. Many of our partners have benefitted from this activity and are reaping the rewards.”

Several awards were presented at the event with the main prize of Uniworld Channel Partner of the Year 2008 going to Peter & Marianne Crichton of Scotia Communications Ltd. Peter said “I’m very pleased to have received this award. Having worked with Uniworld for six years the company has come a long way and over the last year it has become a far stronger channel focussed business”.

Wayne Stevens, the leader of Team Uniworld WPS Racing, joined his crew at the event to display their sidecar team, which is being sponsored by Uniworld in the British Motor Cycle Championships.
