Videonations acquisition opens doors for resellers

The acquisition of video conferencing and audio visual specialist Videonations by Nimans opens the door to a new world of reseller sales opportunities.

The distributor says dealers can now tap into an additional expert resource as part of a specialist group division – helping them gain a bigger foothold in a multi-million-pound industry.

“It’s a move that confirms our belief in the importance of audio and visual solutions; rapidly advancing our capability and credibility in providing unified communications to a growing network of resellers,” said Chairman Julian Niman.

“Our market research predicts significant acceleration in video conferencing in the SMB market. The skills available through Videonations will enable our customers to boost revenue and take their videoconferencing proposition to the next level.”

Established in 2001, Videonations is a specialist video conferencing, audio visual and VaaS (Video as a Service) integrator, with offices in London and Manchester. Digital signage and display and projection systems form part of the company’s extensive product range – reinforced by state-of-the-art demonstration facilities at both sites. Leading brands include LifeSize, Polycom, Radvision and Tandberg / Cisco.

“Videonations delivers a broad spectrum of high definition video conferencing equipment; from desktop systems for one-to-one communication, room video conferencing and telepresence for group collaboration, to infrastructure solutions for multipoint video conferencing,” Julian added.

“We see video forming an increasingly important part of the communications landscape and the acquisition of such a high calibre partner enables us to support resellers in the design, installation, maintenance and support of video and audio visual technologies. It’s a major step forward for ourselves and more importantly our customers. We’ve taken on the skills of all their staff that numbers over 20.”

Videonations’ Managing Director, Ian Carter, is equally enthusiastic about the road ahead as he confirmed: “There is less than one video conferencing system in every 10 meeting rooms across the world – so there’s huge potential. Eventually we believe all meeting rooms will have some form of video capability. It’s about delivering a natural and immersive meeting experience, based on seeing and hearing people as if face-to-face. When presentations are made it’s as if being there. In addition the technology has got to be easy to use and cost effective. Here at Videonations we specialise in all these areas and through this new alliance with Nimans, resellers can take advantage of all the latest market developments and industry innovations.”
