VoIP Unlimited Gains Living Wage Accreditation

Unified Comms
Poole-based telecommunications firm VoIP Unlimited has become accredited as a Living Wage employer.

The Living Wage is an independently set hourly rate updated annually based on the cost of living in the UK. With Living Wage calculations being truly reflective of actual living costs, the Living Wage rate is significantly higher than the national minimum wage.

VoIP Unlimited’s commitment will see everyone working at the firm, regardless of whether they are permanent employees or third-party contractors and suppliers, receiving a Living Wage according to what he or she needs to earn in order to cover the basic costs of living.

Mark Pillow, Managing Director at VoIP Unlimited, says: “We are proud to become a ‘Living Wage’ employer, not only does this scheme benefit our employees but also the communities they live and work in. Making this commitment whilst increasing the number of directly employed and contracted staff demonstrates that we value the people who work for VoIP Unlimited.

Living Wage foundation director, Rhys Moore adds: “We are delighted to welcome VoIP Unlimited to the Living Wage movement as an accredited employer. The best employers are voluntarily signing up to pay the Living Wage now. The Living Wage is a robust calculation that reflects the real cost of living, rewarding a hard day’s work with a fair day’s pay."
