vSphere Virtual environment supports TeleWare’s MVNO platform

Foundation IT has announced the completion of the project to create a vSphere environment to support TeleWare’s MVNO platform. The project has been completed in good time for TeleWare’s clients to meet the FSA Compliance 14th November deadline for mobile call recording.

TeleWare required a new infrastructure to provide a client facing MVNO mobile recording and monitoring solution. This needed to be reliable, resilient, and quickly recoverable in the event of DR. Foundation IT helped TeleWare to achieve this goal by designing and implementing a virtual environment based on Dell EqualLogic SAN technology and HP ProLiant server hardware, running VMware vSphere 4.1 and Site Recovery Manager. This new infrastructure was designed to work across two data centres to provide the required resilience.

The TeleWare Mobile platform is being used to enable businesses within the financial services sector to record mobile phone calls and audit text messages in order to meet FSA compliance requirements following the introduction of stricter regulations from 14th November 2011.

“Working with Foundation IT has enabled us to meet the FSA Compliance 14th November deadline which was a critical requirement for this project,” said Steve Haworth, CEO, TeleWare Plc. “Working with Foundation IT has allowed us to build our virtual environment and achieve the resilient and redundant nature of this platform which has to meet the stringent requirements of a solution for business,” added Haworth.

Foundation IT worked closely with TeleWare throughout the lifecycle of this project to ensure that technical staff fully understood the environment and the requirements for failover and administration. Working to extremely tight timescales, the project was successfully delivered on schedule, and on budget. TeleWare’s MVNO platform is now live and providing the service to their customers as required.
