Wallington Joins Oxx In A Hunt For B2B Software Companies

Oxx, the growth capital investment firm focussed on B2B software companies, has appointed Keith Wallington as the latest high profile figure to join its international advisory board. The firm is focussed on investing in B2B “scale-up” stage software companies with serious commercial traction originating in the UK, the Nordics and Israel.

Following the appointment of Oren Zeev (Founding Partner of Zeev Ventures), Paolo Juvara (Group VP at Oracle Application Labs) and Scott Button (Co-Founder and CEO of Unruly), Wallington joins the advisory board and brings with him more than twenty years’ experience of leading strategy and execution in software and digital businesses. He is based in the UK.

The advisory board’s role is to provide strategic, industry-based advice to Oxx on investment-related topics and to provide advice and assistance to existing portfolio companies on their development.

Most recently Wallington was COO at Mimecast, a successful UK SaaS company and a role model for many of the businesses in which Oxx invests. Under Wallington’s stewardship Mimecast grew to become the largest cloud based email archiving service in the world.

Commenting on the appointment, Richard Anton & Mikael Johnsson, Oxx General Partners, said: “Keith brings with him a wealth of experience in investing and advising software companies at the growth stage of their development. We feel extremely fortunate that we and the software businesses we want to work with will be able to count on his counsel. We’re delighted to have appointed Keith and we’re very happy with the mix of experience and skills our advisory board offers.”

Oxx focuses on B2B software companies already demonstrating strong commercial traction and at the growth stage of their life cycle. Oxx’s mantra is to take companies from promise to success.
