Dealers have given an enthusiastic welcome to the launch of new software-based systems technology from Siemens which they experienced for the first time at a Nimans sales training initiative.
Nimans says the launch of OpenScape Office for the hybrid HiPath 3000 system creates a more ‘potent sell’ for resellers who can take advantage of a complete one box unified comms solution.
HiPath 3000 Version 8 is described as a huge leap forward as it is a feature-packed complete application suite for CTI, presence and contact centre operations.
“It represents tremendous progression for the 3000, propelling it from a trusted PBX into an industry leading SMB unified communications platform,” said Yvonne Tierney-Neave, Siemens Business Manager at Nimans. “Version 8 is a new chapter in the continuing HiPath 3000 success story.”
Fax to desktop, presence, and a 64 agent contact centre application, are just some of the many benefits, along with the capability to manage all communications from Microsoft Outlook. Yvonne added: “This is an exciting opportunity for existing and new HiPath 3000 customers. Resellers travelled from across northern England to learn more about the new product developments, at the first of three nationwide events which commenced at Nimans’ Manchester HQ.
One Liverpool-based reseller said OpenScape Office represents a significant step forward, as he explained: “We started selling Siemens about nine years ago. A lot of the UC functions now available are a major improvement as the 3000 is much more than just a standard telephone kit; it is a complete one box communication solution. OpenScape will create many additional sales opportunities for us, providing all the tools in the bag for us to move forward into new areas of activity.”
