Wavenet Appoints Philip Grannum as Chief Commercial Officer

Communications supplier Wavenet has appointed channel veteran  Philip Grannum as their Chief Commercial Officer.

Grannum has had a long career within the Channel, transitioning into telecoms 20 years ago when he moved from Xerox to AT&T, before joining telecoms start-up Energis, a pioneer of the reseller model. Energis was acquired by Cable & Wireless in 2005 where he rose through the ranks with his last role being CEO of THUS (which included Demon).

Grannumlater joined MDNX where he was the MD of the channel only business, Griffin. MDNX and Griffin were later taken over by Easynet and subsequently, Interoute, where he successfully led the UK business - across both Channel and Direct customers.

Philip Grannum added, “I chose Wavenet due to its complete focus on customer service and its innovative approach to channel and wholesale customers. Building customer trust has always been important to me and I’m delighted that this is a core value at Wavenet. They are passionate about being an organisation that “is easy to do business with”; this includes supplier API integration, automated systems and great people - all of which are very evident at Wavenet. I am very pleased to be able to part of this new journey with Wavenet Wholesale, it provides a prime opportunity to leverage my Channel experience to the benefit of Wavenet Partners. "

Bill Dawson, CEO of Wavenet commented, "We are excited to have Philip join our senior leadership team, as he brings over 20 years of telecoms channel knowledge and experience with him. I look forward to seeing the positive impact Philip brings to our partners through Wavenet Wholesale."
