Today Westcon announced its new mid-market partner enablement programme activ8 which compliments and supports Avaya’s recently announced ‘iConnect’ programme. The two companies ran a joint launch event at the London Film Museum where they presented the mid-market proposition and programmes to channel partners.

"The mid-market is an untapped potential and together with Avaya we are targeting it aggressively and both companies have invested considerably to do so. Avaya’s new IP Office Release 9 has increased scalability to up to 2,000 users and sits perfectly in this space offering increased deployment options such as virtualisation, and a whole host of new features and functionalities for the mid-market. There is a huge opportunity here for existing partners and net new partners, and we are encouraging them to sell the entire stack of voice, video and networking to increase revenue,” states Ioan MacRae, General Manager, Westcon UK & Ireland.

Westcon keeps processes and business simple for partners and the activ8 programme enables partners to access everything they require to target the mid-market.

“The activ8 programme bundles targeted sales, technical training and support, logistics and marketing support together. It is about enabling our partners and accelerating their time to market to increase revenues and encouraging them to sell the Avaya IP Office stack, whether it is an a pure Avaya solution or includes products from our complimentary vendors such as Jabra and Platronics– Westcon can assist partners in selecting and delivering the best solution for their customer,” concludes MacRae.
