Westcon UK Extends Service Delivery Capabilities Through Partnership Agreement with Maintel

Distributor Westcon Group has announced its UK Convergence business practice has signed two agreements with Service Delivery Partner Maintel

The first is an outsource agreement under which eight technical service staff will transfer to Maintel who will in turn provide ongoing support for 1500 contracted customer sites. The second agreement enables Westcon to offer the full range of Maintel’s implementation and maintenance services to its resellers in the UK, who would benefit from wholesale pricing for these services.

The move is part of Westcon’s services strategy to extend its services capabilities across a broader range of products, providing its partners and their customers a more complete service offering. Maintel currently offer nationwide coverage across a wide range of technologies through over 90 engineers. The agreement will also bolster Maintel’s Avaya capabilities as Westcon’s services staff transition to Maintel.

Through the partnership with Maintel, Westcon Reseller Partners will also benefit from Maintel’s value-added support offering including dedicated account management, pricing tools, pre-sales bid support and online web support.
