Wick Hill has announced it has become a distributor for major UK network operator Gamma Telecom. This move follows on the recent appointment of Wick Hill as a distributor for telecoms companies Yealink and Oak, and the earlier appointment of Wick Hill as a Samsung distributor.
It is a major step in Wick Hill’s continuing expansion into convergence, the business stated. As Gamma is the country’s fourth largest network operator, this move means Wick Hill can now offer resellers a complete convergence package which includes line provisioning from Gamma, plus targeted IP-based telecoms solutions such as VoIP telephony hardware, CTI, call logging and call recording, as well as IP-based convergence business solutions from Samsung.
Siobhan Gibbs, business development manager for Wick Hill, commented: “We are thrilled to be working with Gamma, who will form a key component in our convergence strategy. Gamma allows us to offer a complete package to our resellers, which includes line provisioning, as well as a range of IP-based solutions and hosted options. This product set will allow our voice and data resellers to embrace the world of network services, SIP provisioning and hosted telephony, all with the associated recurring revenues.”
Wick Hill will provide Gamma services which include IP Direct Connect, Gamma’s SIP trunks, ISDN, broadband delivery and billing, as well as Gamma’s hosted IP telephony services for inbound and outbound, and Gamma’s mobile services, including mobile broadband.
Gibbs added: “There were lots of reasons to choose Gamma. The breadth of its portfolio is fantastic and its reputation in the industry for quality is exceptionally high. We were also impressed by Gamma’s 100% channel-only policy which matches our own, its ‘green’ commitment, and its customer retention rate of around 98.1%.”
