Globalstar Europe Satellite Services announced that it has signed a Value Added Reseller (VAR) agreement with Wireless Innovation Ltd. Wireless Innovation will market the Globalstar SmartOne device to the maritime and transportation sectors throughout the EMEA. Their intention is to actively market Globalstar to customers involved in asset tracking as the SmartOne is ideal for remote application monitoring.

“We are delighted to be working with Globalstar. This partnership will help to advance Wireless Innovation’s end-to-end satellite communications service and allow us to offer a broad range of cost-effective simplex services to customers in the transportation and maritime industries”, said Phil Rouse, Managing Director, Wireless Innovation Ltd.

Globalstar is currently planning to launch six additional LEO (low-earth orbit) satellites in early February 2013, completing its second-generation satellite launches. The Globalstar second-generation satellite constellation is designed to support the Company's current line-up of voice, Duplex and Simplex M2M data products and services including its suite of SPOT retail consumer products. The new satellites are designed to last for 15 years, twice the lifespan of Globalstar's first-generation satellites.
