The move has seen all four of Yealink’ high definition T2 models being compliance tested by Digium which created and owns Asterisk.

Yealink says that their T20P, T22P, T26P and T28P handsets are equipped with TI chipsets and voice engine. ‘Delivering high definition voice quality they offer offering advanced features already benefit from interoperability with the major IP-PBX, IMS, NGN, soft-switch and other third-party SIP products.’
The Digium agreement is the latest move in Yealink’s ambitious growth plans which have already seen the company break open the business video phone market with the March launch of its VP2009 SIP touch-screen model. Costing less than half the price of a comparable leading brand product it features a generous seven inch, digital LCD colour display and incorporates a powerful TI DaVinci chipset to offer an affordable true multi-media terminal.
