Yealink Targets SIP Virgins With Low Cost ‘Simply IP Phone’

Specialist VoIP manufacturer Yealink is launching a low-cost ‘simply IP phone’ designed to meet growing demand from users looking to migrate from analogue to SIP platforms.

Whilst carrying an RRP of just £43.50 (ex-VAT), the SIP – T18P nonetheless offers a strong feature set, making it well suited to a variety of private and public sector environments. With a TI Titan chipset at its core the compact phone offers 20 keys - two programmable - with standard features including voicemail, call transfer, three-way conferencing, eight speed dials, call logging and auto attendant. As with all models in Yealink’s SIP telephone range, the SIP – T18P also offers PoE and includes the PSU whilst resellers will also benefit from ease of installation via auto-provisioning.

“The SIP – T18P satisfies growing demand from the very many businesses and organisations who are keen to upgrade from analogue and enjoy the benefits of SIP technology but have thus far resisted on grounds of costs,” explained Yealink UK’s Head of Distribution Channels, Charles Williams. “What they want and what this model gives them is a reliable, low cost phone which offers all the key functions they require. It’s a compelling proposition which resellers can fully exploit – a proven manufacturer offering a very low cost yet impressively featured ‘phone.”

Williams says that proposition will appeal to many markets, giving resellers the opportunity to target not just offices but shopfloors, supermarkets, hospitals, hotels and even domestic applications. “This is a product which can really break open the market as it provides terrifically persuasive argument for end users to switch from analogue to SIP.”

The SIP – T18P arrives hot on the heels of Yealink’s introduction of the VP2009 videophone which also follows what William’s has labelled Yealink’s “timeless value proposition”. This sees the company positioning itself as offering a premium but affordable brand which can create new opportunities for resellers whose sales efforts are otherwise being restrained by high price tags.
