Zultys Joins Forces with Gamma Telecom

IP PBX vendor Zultys Technologies has announced it has accredited Gamma Telecom, the voice services and applications provider, as a preferred Internet Telephony Service Provider (ITSP) for the UK.

By virtue of this partnership, Zultys MX30 and MX250 enterprise media exchanges are now approved to connect to Gamma Telecom’s IP DirectConnect, one of the first IP transit services dedicated to voice interconnect on the market. The alliance will enable businesses in the UK to extend their VoIP communications outside the enterprise allowing for free inter-site calls, reduced IP connectivity costs, and lower calls costs in general.

Customers deploying a Zultys solution can now access the Gamma Telecom IP DirectConnect service for SIP based calls leaving the enterprise. This will connect their sites directly into the Gamma Telecom network using an IP backbone enabling them to have full PSTN connectivity. This will provide an ISDN replacement for the IP world.

“Gamma Telecom’s IP Telephony DirectConnect service is tailored for the enterprise and transforms the customer’s site from analogue technology to an IP based one,” said Bob Falconer, CEO, Gamma Telecom. “Using Zultys solutions in the customer premises will enable us to extend our reach in the enterprise. The guaranteed interoperability between our service and their hardware means we can deploy services far more rapidly.”

Using an ITSP has numerous business benefits such as lower calling rates, free site to-site-calling, and the ability to create a voice VPN across multiple sites. The business can also use any number of speech channels, scaleable on a per channel basis. An ITSP compliments a converged network with lower costs and a simplified architecture.

“Zultys is a pioneer in developing SIP based products and we are pleased to announce a partnership with Gamma Telecom that will guarantee a high quality and reliable IP telephony service,” said Justine Cross, Director of Business Development EMEA, Zultys Technologies. “Zultys has completed extensive interoperability testing and will be recommending this new combined solution to our channel partners. These resellers will be able to position themselves as leading the IP telephony revolution by offering a new range of IP services including free and low cost calling rates over a core IP network.”

“Zultys products have been tremendously successful for us due to their ease of use, feature rich functionality and cost savings,” said Paul David, Managing Director, Saiph Communications Ltd., a UK-based Voice over IP service provider and Zultys Systems Integrator. “Being able to offer a PSTN breakout service with inbound and outbound voice telephony calls is only going to further our reputation and deliver incremental revenue.”
