Air IT extends into Scotland with latest acquisition

Air IT has announced the acquisition of SoConnect Limited, an Edinburgh-based MSP.

The company said the acquisition aims to establish a regional hub for Air IT in Scotland to help further increase its share of the UK SME market.

SoConnect was founded by Campbell Fraser in 2011 and has built a client base of 500 companies whilst delivering year-on-year growth. Its management team and expert staff will help establish Air IT in Scotland.

SoConnect’s existing customers will benefit from the strength and depth of a 500-person team, with support offered through Air IT's 24x7 network and security operations centres.

James Steventon, CEO, Air IT (pictured above, centre), said, “SoConnect is a fantastic addition to Air IT, and we're delighted to have them on board. With a mission to make IT feel effortless, SoConnect is a great cultural fit with an accomplished team that shares our values and commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.

“With a complementary skillset and extensive experience of Microsoft cloud and communication solutions, we look forward to working together and building a strong presence in Scotland.”

Gordon Sayers, CEO, SoConnect (pictured above, right), added, “We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter as part of Air IT, a move that marks a significant milestone in our journey. This acquisition expands our horizons and enriches our capabilities, opening up exciting opportunities for growth and innovation.

“We look forward to working with our new colleagues and continuing to deliver unrivalled managed services to our valued clients.”

Air IT has acquired thirteen businesses since receiving funding from August Equity. SoConnect is its first one in Scotland and, last month, the company acquired SCS Technology Solutions.
