Editorial programme

Press releases can be submitted at any time and we always respect embargoes as these help us plan ahead. Submissions should ideally be shared as plain text in the body of an email, with a relevant landscape image.

Upcoming Features

Responses to our forward features should be submitted to the editor by the deadline shown below. Submissions must be attributed to a spokesperson.

All features will include thoughts from various stakeholders and are written by the Comms Business editorial team. As such, please do not send opinion pieces in response to our forward features as they are unlikely to be used.

Editorial input is considered based on the merit of the submission alone and is independent of all advertising or event spend with Comms Business or any of its related publications. This is not negotiable.

Further information on how to get your stories featured in Comms Business can be found here. Please do get in touch with any questions.

July 2024

Deadline: Friday 31 May 2024 16:00 BST

Adding value with Microsoft

The Microsoft ecosystem provides huge opportunity for channel companies, with wraparound services and integrations opening up new possibilities. This feature will provide resellers and MSPs with advice on how they can add value with Microsoft, as well as areas where partners can most benefit from the Microsoft portfolio.

We will ask:

  • Will Microsoft’s move to split licenses for Microsoft 365, Office 365, and Microsoft Teams have an impact on the Channel? How?
  • Is Teams still providing opportunities for resellers and MSPs?
  • Outside of Teams, what big opportunities remain with the Microsoft portfolio?
  • How important are Microsoft certifications?
  • The CMA is currently investigating the cloud services market, with Microsoft under the microscope along with AWS and Google. What could this mean for the Channel? What might good regulation look like?
  • Case studies of channel projects involving Microsoft products.

Local and trusted advisors

This feature will discuss how the channel makes technology accessible to businesses across the UK, with discussion around how resellers and MSPs can position themselves as local and trusted advisors for businesses in their region.

We will ask:

  • What role does the Channel play in helping businesses and organisations across the UK to adopt new technologies?
  • Why can regional technology expertise be an advantage?
  • How can resellers and MSPs become trusted advisors for their customers?
  • How can wholesale partners and vendors support resellers and MSPs to ensure they can meet customer needs?

Submit to: charlotte.hathway@markallengroup.com

Data services

Are data services a surefire portfolio addition? This feature will explore the data services on offer across the Channel. We are looking for insight from vendors, distributors and resellers/MSPs about what data and analytics services are in demand, and how to develop compelling services.

We will ask:

  • What key trends and developments are having the most significant impact on data services?
  • What are the biggest challenges and risks currently facing data service providers?
  • What opportunities should they be looking to capitalise on in the market?
  • Which data and analytics services are most in demand?
  • What role is and can AI and technology play in the provision of these services?
