BDR Acquires Astute Communications

BDR Voice & Data Solutions Ltd have successfully completed the purchase of Manchester-based Astute Communications Ltd. Months of considered negotiation concluded with the acquisition of a majority stake in Astute to continue and build on BDR’s expansion program. Growth by acquisition is in line with BDR’s strategy to complement its already very strong and successful organic growth.

Manchester-based Astute becomes is BDR’s sixth acquisition in the last three years bringing the combined turnover of BDR, its subsidiaries and sister companies to over £10 Million annually.

Following the acquisition, Astute Communications are in the process of moving to new and more appropriate offices in Manchester and will continue to operate in the same way as before with all staff staying with the company post-acquisition.

Astute are active in the large and medium-sized business market, providing lines and calls as well as mobiles with an annual turnover of over £2 Million. It is anticipated that with the new and enlarged basket of product and services that BDR will be offering Astute will be hoping to double turnover during the next two years.

BDR Voice & Data Solutions CEO Bahman Rahimi will assume the role of Managing Director at Astute, working alongside current Director John Irwin in order to maintain continuity as well as seamless fusion and collaboration between BDR and Astute.
