BT Openreach Move to 24 Hour Working

BT engineers are to work round the clock at hundreds of its telephone exchanges as it attempts to get a grip on problems linked to surging growth in the broadband market.

The shift to 24-hour working at BT Openreach, the group’s division that provides services to companies that offer phone and broadband packages to consumers, is an acknowledgement that it has struggled to deal with some of the demands placed on it.
