Employees from Daisy Group’s Stockley Park site will join colleagues from Daisy Distribution, the Ipswich-based mobile arm of the company, when taking on the Alton Water 10K in Suffolk on Sunday, 8th May.
Together they will be raising cash for the Magic Breakfast, as well as St Elizabeth’s Hospice in Ipswich.
While the Magic Breakfast is a children’s charity that provides breakfast for primary school pupils who may otherwise go without, St Elizabeth’s Hospice improves the lives of people living with a progressive illness.
Those taking part include Daisy Distribution’s Lindsay Cooper, Elaine Yellen, Adam Cooper, Lee Reynolds, Roy Abbott, Jason Hall, Jamie Macrae, Simon Ward and Shaun Riceman, as well as HR Manager (South) Emma Richardson and PA Claire Bicknell, who are based at Stockley Park.
Marketing Executive Lindsay Cooper said: “Having taken part in the Alton Water 10K last year and really enjoyed it, we decided to do it again – and have even picked up some new people this time, which is great! Not only are we really looking forward to do something as a company again, and with colleagues from another site, but we are happy to be supporting another local charity. With there being more of us this time, our mission is to beat last year’s total of £1329, which we raised for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust, Cambridge.”
Claire Bicknell added: “We’re really looking forward to getting together with our colleagues from Daisy Distribution and accomplishing something together outside of work. Although Emma does regularly visit the Ipswich team, I rarely get the chance, so it will be great to opportunity to put faces to names.”
