Chess Wholesale is celebrating its best quarter in its history for both volume of business placed and number of new resellers signed. One such new reseller is Hertfordshire based Performance Telecom.
Barney Phillips Wholesale Channel Director at Chess commented, “Performance Telecom came to us looking for a partner that was able to offer a more financially rewarding package. We came to an arrangement very quickly, as we were able to offer free WLR3 access, discounted billing and a market leading product portfolio.”
Brian Hudson, Managing Director of Performance Telecom stated, “We knew there was a partner out there that could offer us more for our money and Chess fit the bill perfectly. Not only did they offer us a better overall package financially but we have been extremely impressed by the support during and after the move. “
Chess has put some figures together for Comms Business Magazine to underpin their growth claims:
February – Best month on record for new sales growth by 11%
March – Smashed new record set in March by 23%
April – Despite short month only 9% less new growth than March
Total for quarter: Best quarter for new business sales growth by 24%
“Within this timeframe we have actually acquired the customer bases of many of our resellers, which of course reduces the size of our wholesale base. If we discounted our own acquisition activities from the growth of our wholesale channel during this period growth is closer to 40%.
In terms of WLR orders placed by our resellers, Feb to April beat best previous records by almost 30%.
In terms of new resellers, in the last quarter we signed up more new resellers than in any previous 3 month period, by 6%.”
