Crane Wins Nortel’s “Best Distributor EMEA Award”

At the Nortel Partner Forum in France last week, Crane Telecommunications picked up the award for Nortel’s Best Distributor EMEA 2005.

Andrew Saunders, Managing Director, Crane Nortel and David Grant, CEO received the award. Saunders said “I am delighted to have received this award from Nortel. To be recognised as Best Distributor for EMEA by such a major payer as Nortel during the first year of our partnership is a fantastic achievement. This award is proof positive of Crane’s expertise, energy and determination to create a significance presence for Nortel’s convergence solutions within the indirect channel. I am proud of my team at Crane and the success they have created and would like to thank them and Nortel for their support”

The Pan EMEA award was presented by Steve Pusey, Executive Vice President and President Nortel Eurasia, and Peter Kelly, President EMEA.

“It is a testament to Crane’s expertise and dynamic approach to business that they took the Best Distributor award in the first year of partnership with Nortel,” said Peter Kelly, President, Enterprise EMEA, Nortel. “It has been an incredible year for Crane, who achieved their success through a unique combination of high quality sales and pre-sales support, and by offering a raft of other benefits including training, co-marketing, lead generation and incentives.”

This is the second award that Crane has won in their Nortel division in six months– They scooped the Nortel Award for Sales Excellence at the Nortel Partner Forum in October 2005.

“It’s been an outstanding year for Crane and a very busy year for me”, Saunders states. “Crane and Nortel had wanted to work together for some time and that finally became possible in November 2004. The excellent relationship with Nortel has brought a balance to our portfolio and the introduction of a core new product into our range has enabled significant growth throughout the organisation.”

In 2006 Crane are continuing to develop their existing business partners as well as recruit new partners to sell the Nortel portfolio. A range of initiatives will be launched shortly by Crane to support the growth of Nortel convergence solutions within the indirect channel.
