Gamma Telecom, the voice and data communications services provider, has been placed 6 in a nationwide evaluation of technology companies. The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100, compiled by Fast-Track, ranks Britain’s fastest-growing, unquoted technology companies based on sales growth between 2002 and 2004.
Over the period Gamma Telecom’s sales grew from £5.5m to £72m, with a forecast of £100m for 2005. The four year old company has been profitable for the last six quarters and has demonstrated an impressive growth.
Gamma supplies channel partners with innovative voice and data services that are designed for fast, efficient and profitable resale. Backed by a consortium of private investors and financial institutions, including the Kuok Group and Sofaer Capital Inc (SCI), Gamma is the only major UK telecommunications company to exclusively sell through the reseller channel.
Bob Falconer, CEO of Gamma Telecom, comments: “Gamma’s success is largely due to the fact that we have had a clear and focused plan – to supply our channel partners with the products and services they want. Also, whilst the team has many years of experience in the telecoms market, Gamma is young and lean enough to be able to anticipate the needs of the market and act immediately to meet them”.
