Dealers have given an enthusiastic response to the launch of NEC’s next generation IP unified comms solution – with the first-ever sales training at distributor Nimans a fully-booked success.
“The SV8100 is the next chapter in our success story and is generating great energy and enthusiasm in the channel,” said NEC Distribution Manager Simon Hughes. “The training at Nimans was fully booked and the enthusiasm from dealers was the biggest thing I noticed. They had all come hyped up from our initial launch programme and they brought engineers and sales guys with them. The product lived up to all expectations, the functionality and the features along with price were the biggest factors to stand out.”
He continued: “This was the first real taste of the system and they were all really impressed by what they saw, so much so that when we conducted a test about their product knowledge at the end of the day, they all passed with flying colours.
“A few have already got some quotes together for customers. I would say the interest in the SV8100 surpasses the launch of the XN120 four years ago. Its flexibility is the biggest selling point as the SV8100 is ideally suited for 10 users right up to a large network of offices.”
Hughes concluded: “It is next generation technology and from Nimans’ point of view it completes their portfolio – from the smallest to the biggest users. It is designed to significantly improve business performance by making an entire workforce more reachable wherever they are based – encompassing fixed, mobile and converged communication such as e-mail, presence and instant messaging. Nimans is a key partner for us to ensure this new system is a massive market success.”
