Tiscali Partners with Aastra Telecom to Deliver VoIP Solution to SME’s

It’s no surprise that IP PBX vendors are guiding their channel partners towards specific DSL suppliers these days; if you get the right product then you don’t get service complaints from the customers and so the latest announcement from Aastra Telecom, that they have partnered with Tiscali, whilst no surprise , is very welcome for the channel.

The partnership will see Tiscali’s Quality over DSL (QoDSL) service, which guarantees allocated bandwidth for applications such as VoIP, sold as an end-to-end fully managed service as part of Aastra’s customised integrated voice and data solutions. This will enable Aastra and its partners to offer a reliable and robust IP infrastructure for companies wishing to link branch offices together and provide access for teleworking staff.

The Aastra IntelliGate IP PBX Business Telephone System range provides extensive system features and options. These include IP Telephony, networking, cordless mobility, voicemail & Unified Messaging, CTI and Call Centre applications.

Mike Ballantine, business development manager at Aastra says: “Aastra views the QoDSL service as the perfect partner to the advanced VoIP capabilities offered in the Aastra IntelliGate IP PBX. The new relationship is already proving to be fruitful. We were delighted to have Tiscali present at the launch of our latest release, i6.6, which amongst other things, offers customers an extremely cost effective route to the full benefits of VoIP.”

Nathan Francis, general manager of Tiscali Business Services says; “We are delighted to get Aastra Telecom on board as a partner. As a company, Aastra offers its customers a full range of services from pre-sales consultancy to installation, maintenance and post sales support. With this kind of customer care, Aastra can implement full VoIP capabilities for networking multiple offices and a highly cost effective homeworking solution providing extensive desktop flexibility for the remote workforce.”
