Gloves off
The new Motorola Atrix is best used without mittens on your hands, so its rather exciting biometric fingerprint technology can read your fingerprints for one-touch access to the device.
Launched in early May, I think we’re ok about the mitten-issue. Seriously though, this phone is packed full of gadget wizardry that is sure to knock the socks (and gloves) off the calmest geek out there.
As well as finger print security, the Atrix has a 1GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, giving it the power of a pretty fine computer, plus a fat 1GB Ram. This all means it is capable of opening web pages twice as fast as most other smartphones, and Motorola claims it has 28% more battery life than its competitors.
Atrix supports Adobe Flash Player to open up all the rich graphics, animations and video on the web, which you can view on its 540 x 960 pixel, four inch touchscreen, called qHD by Motorola, which is a higher resolution than most other smartphone displays. It also has the capacity to connect to a HDTV to show HD video, games, music and more, and runs Motorola’s webtop application for a full Mozilla Firefox 3.6 browser.
All in all, the Atrix looks like a device designed for all budding secret agents.
