The security company recently opened its London headquarters and secured additional investment funding to support its ambitious growth plans for the UK market. It is currently looking to recruit a few commited, strategic channel partners to work with to educate the market and sell and support the 8MAN products in return for generous margins and hands-on support.
The 8MAN solution automates and simplifies the process of settting, monitoring and removing permission and access rights for network users, thereby limiting the security risks of overly-permissive, or outdated access rights which act as soft targets for hackers.
The company works with two value added distributors in the UK - Prianto based in Newbury and Distology in Stockport. According to Statista there is a vast untapped market for identity and access management solutions, as just 28% of UK businesses claim to have implemented identity and access management solutions.
According to Jens Puhle, managing director of 8MAN Europe:“8MAN is adopting a one hundred per cent channel-focused route to market. The impending European Union Data Protection Regulations (DPR) which oblige corporations to tighten up access to sensitive data, plus the need to automate more security practises to free up scarce security personnel and protect networks and users from social engineering attacks, has meant that demand for tools like 8MAN is skyrocketing”.
Dean Porter, Cyber Threat and Intelligence Consultant at 8MAN security reseller Computer Security Technology (CST) added,” We’ve found businesses very receptive to the 8MAN proposition. There is a vast number of out-of-control, out-of-date Active Directories out there which have simply mushroomed over time. Companies that employ contractors or seasonal workers frequently forget to revoke user priviledges when employees leave or move job, leaving a significant security loophole open to abuse. 8MAN offers an easy and elegant solution that offers businesses not only greater security, compliancy with PCI and ISO guidelines as well as a tangible ROI in saved administrative tasks.”
