Burns said: “Arieso has bucked the trend and experienced a strong start to 2009 as mobile operators look to derive maximum value out of their existing networks. I am looking forward to working with Arieso’s sales team and partner network to aggressively grow the business in new markets, and continue the successes already achieved in Europe and the US.”
Burns started his career in the telecoms sector at Marconi (now Ericsson). He holds a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bradford. Before joining Arieso Burns was vice president of international sales at Verso Technologies, and has also held key positions with Verilink Corp, Symmetricom Inc, Premisys Communications, Newbridge Networks and VINA Technologies.
