Blackberry's confidence has taken yet another knock this week as one of its biggest partners in the US decided it would be a good bit of marketing to target all their Blackberry customers and offer them a iPhone 5s upgrade!
The misstep from the network instantly sparked anger in the Blackberry camp as users took to social media outlets to complain. Chief Executive John Chen called the promotion "inappropriate and ill-conceived".
T-Mobile has since offered an apology saying it was simply offering its customers "choice" and that it is happy to remain a Blackberry partner.
It would seem the tides are set firmly against Blackberry right now and marketing campaigns like this one aren't going to help them gain back their market share. On John Chens blog he wrote "I can assure you that we are outraged too. What puzzles me more is that T-Mobile did not speak with us before or after they launched this clearly inappropriate and ill-conceived marketing promotion,"
