BT Wholesale has wrapped up the first leg of its Partner Connect Tour across London, Birmingham and Manchester.
Aimed at fostering collaboration and providing partners with insights on industry trends, customer retention and growth strategies, the event attracted more than 80 partners. BT Wholesale is now heading out to partners, building bespoke sessions at their offices to meet their individual needs.
The event series was inspired by BT Wholesale’s research which found that 75 per cent of IT decision-makers wanted more face time with their technology partner. To address this need, BT Wholesale decided to hold the event across the UK. In all three cities, it delivered a comprehensive agenda to help partners strengthen their market positioning and accelerate growth. Hosted by Christopher Wellbelove DL, senior marketing consultant, Partner Plus, each event included a keynote presentation by futurologist Dr Nicola Millard, who shared key trends and projections for the future of work; guest speakers; a review of BT Wholesale’s 2024 whitepaper; chats with industry experts so partners could discuss their goals and challenges; and views over each city from the iconic BT Tower, London; Snow Hill, Birmingham; and Cloud 23, Manchester.
Gavin Jones, channel director at BT Wholesale, said, "Partner Connect was the ideal platform for our partners to gain valuable insights, connect with each other, and engage directly with industry experts on the topics that impact their businesses. We didn’t want this event to be death by PowerPoint. We wanted partners to have fun as well as genuinely learn something useful. We look forward to putting on more events like this in the future”.
Partners in attendance included Daisy Group, City of London Communications, Claranet, Gamma and Giacom.
Matt Bennett, managing director at Cellhire, said, “Overall, we really enjoyed the event. These events are important because it brings partners and MNO’s together, and it shows that we are valued as a partner of BT Wholesale. The location was fantastic and there was the right level of content presented. It was also good to see some senior BT Wholesale leadership personnel available to talk to, as well as yourself and other partners to network with.”
Following positive feedback from partners and initial success of the event, BT Wholesale is now offering face-to-face meetings for all partners. These bespoke sessions dig further into industry data, training with specialists and strategy workshops.
BT Wholesale will also continue building events with accessible and engaging content. It will aim to maintain the core elements of learning and growth that made the tour successful, while adding new ideas and improvements.
