Cerberus Networks launches Net Zero Broadband Carbon Offset programme

Cerberus Networks has announced the launch of a new Net Zero Broadband Carbon Offset programme for their range of broadband services which allows customers to automatically offset the carbon emissions associated with their Internet service.

Cerberus is excited to empower customers wanting to make a positive contribution to the environment and the climate.

Cerberus is also going one step further. Customers can choose to go “Climate Positive” by offsetting 200% or 300% of their emissions, and if they do, Cerberus Network will match the customer’s investment in carbon offsets to actively reduce carbon emissions every month, multiplying their contribution to a sustainable future.

Cerberus Net Zero broadband follows a series of internal initiatives to minimise all emissions associated with the business, from investing in new high-efficiency servers, storage and network infrastructure to providing free rapid charging for EVs at our Greenford premises to running an innovative, all-electric company car programme.

Bob Hendy, Director at Cerberus Networks explains, “We are really pleased to be working with ClimateCare, who are experts in the field, with over 20 years’ experience running some of the most innovative and largest carbon offset programmes in the world. Working with them has helped us understand how we can integrate action to tackle climate change into our business while also improving people’s lives.”

Hendy goes on to address the limitations of internal actions alone. “The reality of Internet usage is that, while Cerberus offsets all the emissions within our own operations and infrastructure, many of the carbon emissions associated with customer traffic originate outside of our network. Cerberus Net Zero Broadband allows customers to offset those external emissions and neutralise the impact of their traffic on the climate. And if customers want to make a positive contribution, then we want to demonstrate our support by matching their input.”

ClimateCare’s Head of Partnerships explains “We are delighted to be working with Cerberus Networks to deliver innovative projects such as this. Our Climate+Care model helps organisations take a smart approach to addressing their environmental impacts by offsetting their carbon emissions and supporting sustainable development”.
