Earlier this year, Channel Telecom partnered with network provider Virtual 1 in providing the first of its scheduled MPLS partner workshop. Selected partners were invited to attend the Virtual 1 London Headquarters, where Channel Telecom Head of Data Services, Stuart Burdett, would talk them through access technologies and how they work together on a larger scale. The workshop lasted the course of the day, followed by a short exam, where successful partners would achieve an accreditation enabling them to quote and sell MPLS networks.
Speaking on these workshops, Clifford Norton, Managing Director of Channel Telecom said “We run these workshops so that our partners can continue to grow and succeed. Providing partners with product knowledge and information and thereafter an accreditation, means that they are more comfortable in selling and supporting the growing number of services we are able to offer. By providing partners the necessary tools, the desire to transition from dealer to reseller that many of our partners have, is made all the easier”.
Ultimately, Channel Telecom aims to hold several workshops in a number of major cities across the country, to ensure all partners are able to attend should they so wish. In October, Channel Telecom will head to The Midlands where a dozen selected partners will be welcomed to undertake their workshop, in hope of achieving their Channel Telecom MPLS accreditation.
Providing specific training days or workshops is not specific to MPLS networks, this year Channel Telecom have introduced webinars and training events surrounding their hosted offering, as well as scheduled billing and IP voice webinars over the course of the next few months.
