By establishing operations in Nortel’s former Northern Ireland Headquarters in Belfast, Comtek is able to re-use Nortel’s technology, as well as Belfast’s local pool of talent, thus enabling the team to deliver Nortel repair services on an international scale.
“Comtek identified a gap in the market for Nortel specialist expertise and through the hard work of our in-house engineers, we have been able to provide the support that end-users need,” said Askar Sheibani, CEO at Comtek. “The opening of our Belfast operations represents our latest measure to provide support for these end-users. Our continued investment in world class engineers, to provide the specialist services required to service and maintain Nortel equipment, means that end-users can now continue to use their products for the foreseeable future, confident in the knowledge that expert support is readily available through Comtek.”
Comtek has been assisted in its expansion by the team at Invest Northern Ireland, who have provided the company with investment towards the company’s creation of 21 jobs and establishment in the region.
