Connexin has announced it has appointed Shameel Ahmed as chief financial officer.

Ahmed will help to develop the company’s financial strategy and business plan. He will work with the executive team and the company’s investors.

He joins Connexin from Community Fibre, where he oversaw the network rollout of 1.3 million homes across the South East of England and drove the company to profitability.

Ahmed also played a role in the acquisition of Community Fibre by Warburg Pincus and Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners.

Ahmed is a chartered accountant and holds a masters in financial strategy from Said Business School (University of Oxford) and an executive MBA from London Business School.
