The new division – Supply Chain Services – is bringing a hardware and software supply proposition to the market as it continues its bid to become the only true end-to-end provider of business-to-business technology in the UK.
Backed by its “one hand to shake” ideology, the addition of Supply Chain Services will benefit the group’s existing customer base as well as new markets, as it offers the ability to procure a business’ entire digital needs from a single supplier, on a single bill, and with a single point of contact.
Headed up by Daisy’s Director of Group Vendor Alliances & Supply Chain Services Jeff Palmer, the function is moving to a purpose-built office at the Group’s Nottingham site but has already begun trading around 200,000 products from over 4,000 suppliers – ranging from data storage to laptops, desktops, printers and headsets.
The division’s formation is aimed at leveraging existing customer relationships, as well as appealing to new ones.
Jeff commented: “In short, whatever technology products a business needs to function, Daisy’s Supply Chain Services can now provide via a speedy quote and a consultative process that adds value to every customer engagement.
“Many of our customers who benefit from our big solutions are buying other technology-related products elsewhere. That doesn’t make any sense for them, and it makes even less sense for us. Every single one of our existing customers buys printers, laptops, application software, mobile phones and storage. We want them to buy it all from us. The advantage for them is that they transact with just one company, which they already know and which they already like doing business with.”
