The wholesale aggregator has rapidly accelerated the development of its billing service and software with a series of new packages aimed at start-ups through to major resellers.
The company has been able to further develop the service since being taken over by its biggest customer Daisy Group plc in 2008.
Established in 1996, Tempest had already established a niche in a crowded billing market by being able to provide scalable, robust and customisable billing software and a professional billing service.
It became the first billing company to be accredited under the Ofcom Metering and Billing Approval scheme, which gives guarantees of quality and accuracy to partners.
Tim Sayer, Daisy Wholesale’s Managed Services Director, commented: “We worked tirelessly at the time with the British Standards Institute (BSI) to fine tune and document all of our processes to ensure that they are robust and accurate.
“Our competitors soon followed suit and gained their own approval, but we take pride in being the first to put our necks on the line and demonstrate to an external body our confidence in what we do.”
As a result of the additional investment by Daisy says Clarity is now easier to install and easier to upgrade with reporting capability.
Sayer added: “Clarity is genuinely back in the game with some fantastic improvements and a much stronger commercial proposition.
“It’s intuitive to use and based upon industry standard programming tools and techniques, we are confident that any computer user can find their way around Clarity with only minimal training.”
The latest release of Clarity sees many months of software development and testing come to fruition with the launch of a completely new feature called ‘Live Reporting’ - a real time reporting interface that provides customers with information about their bill run at any stage of the process. It encompasses a level of management information beyond what its competitors provide to aid effective business decisions.
During 2011, Daisy Wholesale will also release an all-new online bill viewing and analysis tool called eBilling, replacing the previous online billing capability.
eBilling uses the latest web development techniques to provide an easy-to-use User Interface, secure log-in, data transmission and password retrieval. As well as this, Daisy Wholesale has boosted the security of invoice delivery, adding file encryption and password protection capability.
