Digium and Foehn Join to Drive Open Source VoIP Sales in UK SMBs

Digium, the Asterisk Company, and Foehn, a converged networking, voice and managed IT service provider, have announced Foehn’s appointment to ‘Select’ reseller status. Foehn is Digium’s second reseller to reach this top tier accreditation in the UK and will be responsible for driving aggressive revenue targets for the world’s most widely used open-source telephony software provider.

Digium is the creator and driving force behind Asterisk, the open source voice communications software deployed by more than 4 million servers worldwide to manage VoIP calls for businesses and individuals. More resellers, telecom professionals and software developers choose Digium's products than those of any other open source telephony company because only Digium delivers the technical superiority, security and flexibility associated with Asterisk. Asterisk powers Digium’s family of software and hardware appliances including AsteriskNOW, Asterisk Business Edition and Switchvox.

“As budgets tighten, SMBs are looking for cheaper and easier ways to deploy VoIP systems,” said Matthew Pitt, Sales Director at Foehn. “Digium’s open-source format makes it easy to deploy, so more SMBs are turning to it as an alternative to the high-cost, low-flexibility telecom giants.”

“Digium is happy to work with a company like Foehn, who is committed to providing high quality hosted PBX and VoIP services based on Digium's products,” said Jim Butler Global Channel Sales Director for Digium. “By appointing Foehn as a Select Reseller, Digium has increased its presence in the UK and can better serve the SMB customers in that region.”
