As Entagroup celebrates its twentieth year in business its founder and CEO, Jason Tsai has been recognised for his innovation and commitment to the IT channel by being awarded the title of ‘Channel Entrepreneur of the Year’ by the Comms Business Awards.
Receiving his award at a unique ceremony on Thursday 3rd June, Tsai said: “I am absolutely delighted to win the award and be named as ‘Channel Entrepreneur of the Year’ and this is particularly poignant timing as we are currently celebrating Entagroup’s twentieth year in business. 2010 is proving to be a very special year for me personally, the company and all of our employees and customers. It marks a real achievement in a turbulent economy.”
Entagroup has come a long way since its establishment by Tsai in 1990 when he started selling computer components from his garage in Bridgnorth. The group now employs over 175 staff, has a combined turnover of over $200million and comprises three industry leading IT and communications companies; Enta Technologies, one of the UK’s leading IT distributors; Entanet, a leading wholesale voice and data communications provider; and Entamedia, an online design and marketing agency which serves the needs of its sister companies and many of its resellers. Enta Technologies maintains the highest levels of distributor accreditation with vendor leaders including Microsoft, Intel, Nvidia, NETGEAR, Belkin, and D-Link to help its resellers compete aggressively. Meanwhile, Entanet’s massively extended national next generation network, market leading adoption of 21CN across the UK, and high profile relationship with BT Wholesale gives partners access to the very latest voice and data access technologies.
Tsai added “Entagroup’s success is tantamount to our commitment to providing high quality products and services; our commitment to the IT channel and our resellers; and our position at the cutting edge of innovation in technology. We have adopted a pioneering approach to the channel, aiming to bring our reseller partners the latest technologies, products and services first, ensuring they have the best market opportunities.”
The Comms Business Awards recognise excellence throughout the channel with awards categories for resellers, distributors, vendors and network operators. Commenting on Jason Tsai’s achievement Miles Bossom, Publisher of Comms Business said: “Jason is a deserved winner of this award. His commitment to the IT and communications channels over the past twenty years is second to none and his success in building up Entagroup from a business ran out of his garage is to be admired. Congratulations Jason.”
This latest accolade follows a number of other recent award recognitions for Entagroup. Entanet was also named as a finalist in this year’s Comms Business Awards category of ‘Hosted IP Telephony Supplier of the Year’ and was recently named as a finalist for three ISPA Awards and a PCR Awards. Entanet has achieved rankings in the latest Sunday Times Techtrack 100, Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA, TechMedia Invest Top 100 and Real Business Hot 100 in recognition of its sustained levels of significant organic growth.
