myFUNAMBOL makes it easy to wirelessly sync mobile phones and connected devices with the cloud, to back up and store user mobile data and media in a secure, advertising-free 'digital vault'. myFUNAMBOL also makes it easy to share mobile user data and media with consumer social networks and online media sites such as Facebook, Flickr and Picasa as well as enterprise systems such as Outlook.
The new upgrade plans supplement the existing Basic plan that provides 50MB of free storage to sync PIM data and pictures. The Premium plan offers 5GB of storage for $34.99 (€25) per year and the Ultimate plan offers 50GB of storage for $99.99 (€72) per annum.
Android and Blackberry users will also be able to take advantage of the additional storage and sync capabilities offered by the upgrade plans. Funambol has extended the availability of the Premium and Ultimate plans to its mm4bb ('MobileMe for BlackBerry') service, which is available to download now from BlackBerry App World™, and its mm4android ('MobileMe for Android'), which can be downloaded from the Android Market (in both mobile stores, search for Funambol).
Funambol’s portfolio of mobile cloud services are also available to mobile operators and service providers as white label solutions, enabling them to quickly deliver compelling and innovative mobile cloud services to end users.
“The introduction of the upgrade plans follows the rapid uptake of the mm4BB and mm4Android mobile cloud services. With more and more people syncing their contacts, calendars, pictures and other media to the cloud, users of our free basic service have already reached their storage limits," said Amit Chawla, Funambol CEO.
“The additional storage provided by the Premium and Ultimate plans provides end users with the flexibility to sync data and content at their discretion. Service providers can also take full advantage of the upgrade plans by rolling out extended services as a white label solution.”
