Fundraising at KCOM Sparks Excitement

MSPs
Employees at KCOM Group have smashed their £100,000 fundraising target for the Group’s Charity Partner, Sparks, which funds life-saving research into conditions affecting babies, children and mums-to-be.

In the last 12 months employees have scaled the highest mountains and ridden the equivalent of the Tour de France in a bid to raise money for Sparks.

Madeleine Buckley, Corporate Partnership Manager, said: “The partnership with KCOM has been a great one. In the last 12 months employees have come up with creative ways to fundraise, such as their Charity Golf Day, swimming across the Humber and the Great North Run. I’m not surprised they’ve smashed their fundraising target. Their support has been relentless.”

Chief Financial Officer for KCOM Group, Paul Simpson, said: “It’s great to see people come together and dig deep to help a good cause like Sparks. We’ve raised over £100,000 through employees coming together and embracing fundraising activities. We want to continue raising money so we can continue supporting Sparks and the brilliant work they do.”

KCOM Group has a long standing commitment to fundraising, having raised over £300,000 during the last seven years through its Charity Partner programme. Each new Charity Partner is voted for by employees and the organisation supports them for two years, always aiming to beat the previous fundraising target.
