The Christie Charity is an organisation that helps in all aspects of Cancer from the patients, right down to medical research. The team believe that the money raised will be divided into helping recover and prevent the dreaded big C instead of going straight to one cause.
Co-founder, Peter Crooks and Operations/Human Resource Director, Dan Fish teamed up last month to take part in the Manchester to Blackpool cycle, raising a whopping £830 between them for The Christie pot, but it hasn’t stopped there.
Dan Fish is also taking part in the Salford Triathlon on Sunday 17th August. Getting himself ready has involved joining some human fish competitors at Salford Quays to try and better his swimming technique, as well as keeping on top of his running and cycling hobbies!
For the finale, seven uninitiated Invosys team players have volunteered themselves to take part in Tough Mudder on Sunday 14th September. For those of you that don’t know what Tough Mudder is, it is a 10-12 mile military style obstacle course that takes strength, stamina and teamwork to get you through, or to quote their website “Tough Mudder is probably the Toughest Event on the Planet. Probably.” So when their Comms Dealer Five a side Football kicks off just days later, don’t be surprised to find the team without fully functioning limbs! To prepare themselves for this they have teamed up, gave up the sugary treats and committed to coming together once a week for an intense workout.
If you would like to support Invosys for their hard work and their determination but most importantly give The Christie Charity a big help, then please visit www.justgiving.com/invosys and make a small (or large) donation. Invosys would also like to thank everyone who has cheered them on and donated already. The support so far has been amazing!
