The new feature allows the presenter to connect the speakerphone to an approved wireless headset, with the Konftel 800 automatically muting microphones while the presenter is speaking.
The manufacturer said this upgrade is designed to give a teacher or presenter total freedom of movement and position within a room.
Torbjörn Karlsson, product manager, Konftel, said, “Lecture mode gives the presenter complete freedom to roam around a room and break free from any traditional communication barriers. Wherever they are located, even with their back to the room, they can still be heard clearly.
“We are delighted to announce the Konftel 800 now has this valuable new feature via a free software upgrade.”
The first release will only support the Jabra Engage 65 (pictured with the Konftel 800 below), with support for other headsets to follow with future firmware releases.
