The launch is in line with the availability of its new proposition “Fibre Air” – a wireless business Internet service that can be installed in as little as five working days. Partners reselling traditional Fibre Leased Lines typically have to wait around 90 days for installation. With “Fibre Air” partners can offer customers up to 1GB symmetrical broadband Internet connectivity almost straight away, which means they can immediately start billing. It can either be sold on an isolated fixed three-month contract, or kept as a back-up broadband service to ensure business continuity in case of broadband downtime or outages, giving partners another valuable new revenue opportunity.
Sasha Williamson, CEO, Luminet: “We pride ourselves on having one of the most compelling channel propositions in the market – our very generous margins, 100% SLA help VAR’s monetise their suite of OTT services quickly bringing revenue forward and increasing customer satisfaction, perfectly addressing the ever demanding connectivity requirements of SMEs today.
“Also, giving our partners an answer to businesses short-term connectivity demand will perfectly complement their product portfolio and provide a valuable new revenue stream. Because our Fibre-Air service works over the rooftops, utilising wireless microwave technology, it avoids the need for unnecessary construction works such as digging up the ground, which means it can be installed incredibly quickly sold in tandem with Fibre Leased Lines. It comes with a 99.95% Service Level Agreement, giving both our partners and their customers the confidence that they have a resilient service that they can truly depend upon.”
The new channel programme is based on three options: wholesale white label (usually layer two interconnected) or layer three where the reseller can bill customers themselves, or Luminet can bill the customer for them. All partners are supported with sales material, training and a dedicated account manager. Luminet also offers a ‘price promise’ to match or beat any fibre pricing, when partners go for the company’s 100% SLA service.
Managed services provider, Backbone (UK) Limited reduced its connectivity delivery times by up to three months since working with Luminet. Mike Wills, CEO of Backbone (UK) Limited comments: “Luminet’s 100% SLA ‘always on’ Internet solution is the perfect solution for our customers who rely on the Internet for mission critical applications. Automatic seamless failover means they will never suffer in the event of a fibre, or even an exchange outage.
“Luminet’s ability to deliver a wireless solution with bandwidth as much as 1Gbps in as little as seven days has ensured that we stand out from the crowd on more than one occasion. The Luminet solution has literally been a life saver for our clients, who without it, would have had no RTW Voice services (VoIP) or Internet access and would therefore have been totally unable to function.”
Steven Gillard, Director, WitIT Support and Services, adds: “WitIT Support and Services has had great success with Luminet’s 100% SLA internet solution, not only does it grant peace of mind with its two separate solutions of fibre and Fibre Air, with its seamless failover and the support helpdesk are always there in case of emergencies. One of the major benefits to this solution is the seven-day lead-time to install the service and have the client up and running while we wait for the fibre to be installed. This solution is an extremely cost effective, efficient solution for the SME market where Internet connectivity is crucial to the day to day running of the business.”
