The Orange distributor is helping its dealer customers to match High Street prices and to achieve mark ups reaching almost 80% at the same time, by increasing its commissions on selected PAYG handsets.
Gail Hollinshead, director of dealer sales, said: “We’ve sharpened our pencils to ensure that dealers can compete with the likes of Carphone Warehouse and Argos this Christmas. We’ll also review our PAYG offers on a weekly basis, to ensure our dealers remain competitive throughout the festive period.
“November and December are still huge months for Pay As You Go at Mainline, despite over 90% of our connections in the rest of the year being business connections."
In addition to the commission increases, Mainline is also offering dealers special rewards for ordering PAYG handsets, including Marks & Spencer vouchers and the opportunity to win up to £100,000 with lottery scratchcards.
