Before joining MeetingZone, Scott’s past two roles as UC account director and UC sales manager were with Westcon and Westcoast respectively. During his time there, he was responsible for implementing and driving their UC Strategy with particular emphasis on Microsoft Lync. Following the recent launch of Skype for Business, Scott will become a key member of MeetingZone’s sales team. His role will see him focus on recruiting new partners for its successful channel partner programme.
“MeetingZone has built up a great reputation as a communications and collaboration specialist, so I’m pleased for the opportunity to work with such a well-respected company,” said Scott. “I’m looking forward to the new challenges this role will bring in building on the company’s success in the partner channel.”
With more than 10 years’ experience, Darren Anderson has held both technical and sales roles in the IT and telecoms sector. Prior to joining MeetingZone, he worked at AlwaysON, where he was instrumental in delivering sustainable and cost effective solutions to solve customer business issues for hosting, collaboration and cloud services.
“I’m looking forward to working with the Skype for Business sales teams here at MeetingZone,” said Darren. “It’s a great time to join and the right time to be part of building on the momentum already established in enhancing pre-sales support and advice for MeetingZone’s customers and partners.”
“It’s great to have Scott and Darren on board as we continue to grow and strengthen our Skype for Business Group” said Andy Clark, general manager, Skype for Business at MeetingZone. “With their proven track records working in the IT & Telecoms market, both bring first-hand understanding of the channel and customers, as well as business acumen. Both will be invaluable as we further grow our channel business.”
