Metronet and Fluidata Strike Wholesale Deal

Fluidata and Metronet (UK) have agreed terms on a partnership that will enable Fluidata to wholesale Metronet (UK)’s Wireless proposition on a layer-2 basis to other UK ISPs and its direct customers.

Metronet (UK)’s wholesale wireless platform provides partners with an advanced alternative to fibre in the ground. The platform fills the large gap that traditional providers have been unable to fill with major benefits including reduced lead times, quicker revenue and no excess install charges. Businesses today need and want internet connectivity readily available to them as soon as possible. Partners using Metronet (UK)’s wholesale platform can give their customers access to wireless connectivity in half the time than traditional fibre connectivity.

Fluidata Sales & Marketing Director, Phillip Oliver said, “Our Partnership with Metronet (UK) adds yet another world-class carrier to our Data Delivery Network. The ability to use a wireless delivery mechanism means that service providers using our platform can add fully resilient services to their portfolio; whilst being able to install ultra-fast services into locations within a month that may have had long and difficult civil work requirements with traditional fibre technologies. I believe that our job is to provide the best possible technology to our community and Metronet (UK) are a perfect addition to achieving this goal.”

Andy Tatlock, Head of Channel Sales at Metronet (UK) said, “This is another exciting example of Metronet (UK)’s investment and the direction we are looking to move the business. Our wholesale wireless offering liberates our partners from the typical constraints, limitations and lethargic nature of traditional Ethernet carriers. We offer a truly alternative service which will help Fluidata’s time to revenue and their customers will really benefit from our industry leading solutions. It is really great to welcome Fluidata as the first partner on the wholesale platform and we look forward to working with them more.”
