Mitel has renewed its contract with Telecom Resource as its digital transformation (DX) support specialist for Unify products and services in the UK and Ireland.
Prior to Mitel’s acquisition of Unify in October 2023, Telecom Resource was appointed by Atos Group in 2020 to help UK partners and customers move away from legacy PBX and telephony systems towards more efficient cloud-based platforms, and to support wider digital transformation efforts from Unify customers.
Over the past several years, more than 150,000 telephony users from a range of sectors – including NHS trusts, airports, utilities, defence and pharmaceuticals – have used the upgrade programme to move towards unified communications (UC) while maintaining their core infrastructure.
This support package enables DX, Realitis, and Hipath systems users to transition smoothly to modern UC solutions and ensures continued functionality following the Public Switched Telephone Network switch-off in January 2027.
Under the agreement, Telecom Resource will have access to the DX implementation team, Unify DX support, DX technical design authority, the DX patch library and DX licences to add users, activate slots, add SIP capability and provides upgrades to version 15.
